A Quick ZBA Meeting

The September 12 Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting had just two discussion items -

1 - a request to install a 6 foot fence on Old Hopewell Road. The applicant explained that in the 12 years since they have owned the house the traffic on Old Hopewell Road has increased dramatically, and while the speed limit is 40 mph, it is rarely observed -- creating a lot of noise and lack of privacy for the applicant. The public hearing is scheduled for September 26th.

2 - An applicant from Macintosh Lane would like to installed a covered front porch, similar to other residences on the street - and needs a variance of 5.5 feet because the set back requirements of 35 feet cannot be met. The public hearing is scheduled for September 26th.

A miscellaneous topic - a request from the ZBA to the Hughsonville Fire Department and the Fire Prevention Board requesting their comments re: the Alpine Commons proposed development is to be sent to those organizations.
