Across the country, thousands of communities have signaled their commitment to keeping America beautiful by adopting stretches of highway and pledging to keep them litter-free.

The Hughsonville & Wheeler Hill Community Association has applied to the Dutchess County Department of Public Works to “adopt” New Hamburg Road (County Road 21) between the bridge over Wappinger Creek to Route 9. The County requires that we have a safety briefing before we schedule a litter pick-up day. We’ll publish the details for the safety briefing and the litter pick-up day when get notified by the County that we have been accepted as an “Adopt-a-Highway” partner.

Help us keep Hughsonville & Wheeler Hill clean and beautiful!
