Area Variances Requested

The June 25 2024 Zoning Board of Appeals meeting had two items on their agenda.
The First - a property on Ardmore Drive, with an existing above ground pool and deck, requested variances for set-backs to property lines to legalize the pool/deck that were in place when the current property owner purchased the property in 1991. The current owner is in contract to sell the property. The ZBA granted the variances, with the condition - that if any future owners want to replace the pool or deck, that they must adhere to the current code or get a new variance for the replacements.
The Second - a discussion about a property on Stonykill Road, where the applicants want to replace an existing home with a new home on the same footprint. However, the home on .30 acre requires a variance of 13 feet to a side yard, 7 feet to the other side yard, 24 feet to a front yard. Also it was pointed out that an existing shed and coop will either have to be moved or included in the request for a variance. The board will visit the site on July 20th - with a public hearing set for July 23rd.
