The June 24 Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting agenda had 1 adjourned public hearing and a discussion of three projects that will require site visits by the board.
Adjourned Public Hearing
Chelsea Road - where 4 foot fence allowed in front of property and 6 foot allowed in side and rear yards, the applicant wants to install 8 foot fences to protect fruit trees from deer damage (also the fence is to keep dogs safe). This will require a 4 foot variance in the front and a 2 foot variance for side and rear yards. The applicant provided sketches of the fences that the board requested - showing a wire (see through) fence
There were no public comments and the public hearing was closed.
The ZBA members voted the approve the variances.
Discussion
Brothers Road - an 8.53 foot variance for a side yard setback is requested for rear deck addition. An old deck is being removed to add an addition and wants to add a new deck.
The Site visit will be July 19 and the next board meeting is July 22nd.
Hiview Road - the applicant is requesting a variance of 15 feet for a side yard setback for the construction of a 10'x20' shed on 1.2 acres. The site visit will be July 19.
Gold Road - the applicant is requesting a 16' variance for a side yard setback to legalize at 10'x26' shed on 1.2 acres. The site visit will be July 19.
A board member suggested a working session to discuss the process of submissions, to discuss what the building department should be preparing ahead of time etc. - after July meeting or early August. Can discuss recommendations, but bring them forward in a public meeting. Concern about "finding things" while on-site.
