Front Yard Fence on Route 9D?

1 min read

The March 24 Zoning Board meeting had one item on the agenda - a public hearing for an applicant who would like to install a 6 foot fence in front of his property on Route 9D, where the code allows for a 4 foot fence. The applicant would like the fence to help protect his children - one who is on the spectrum and is bothered by loud noises and also does not understand danger and needs additional protections. The board, stated that they typically don't want to see 6 foot fences in front of properties, but this is a special situation and a unique location in the town (speeding traffic) -- the board granted the variance. And adjourned the meeting.
