The December 9 Zoning Board Meeting had a short agenda -
Adjourned Public Hearing -
The applicant on Dana Place - is requesting a variance 16' 9" where 20 feet is required (so they can only provide a 3'1") of to build a 25'x26' garage . The Board Chair indicated that this is a very large variance and weren't comfortable with such a large variance. Another Board member indicated that a 50% variance, unless there is an unique site condition. The Board has looked at the property. The Applicant's indicated that there wasn't enough time to redo the site plan and asked if the hearing could be postponed.
Water conditions - a neighbor cut down a lot of trees, so there is water that they need to consider. The Board Chair indicated that no one will be "putting a shovel in the ground anytime soon" -- and acknowledged that the "pizza slice" lots are difficult.
The public hearing is adjourned to the Januar 27th meeting.
Public Hearing
Red Hawk Hollow Road - applicant looking for a 5' setback variance for an inground pool. A 40' set back is required, but only have 35' ... the mailing went out, but the SDN wasn't able to publish on time because of the weather. The original plans showed 40'7" - they are close to the septic -- the far right corner of the pool - based on an angle. The pubic hearing went ahead - the board agreed the approve the variance.
