The January 17 TOW Planning Board Meeting was a quiet, short meeting befitting the dark, frigid weather outside.

An amended site plan for Cube Smart at 169 Myers Corners Road proposing outside storage for recreation vehicles was reviewed. The Board approved asking the Planner to draft a resolution approving the site plan.

Randolph School at 2467 Route 9D then presented an amended site plan which shows 7 lean-to structures which are 8 feet x 12 feet which were installed during Covid lockdowns, enabling children to gather while remaining outside. These are still in use today as part of their curriculum encouraging children to move and be outdoors while learning. If the square footage is under 144 square feet, then a variance would not be required. Randolph School was asked to confirm the size of each of the lean-tos, to move one of them off the septic area.

Randolph School is also proposing the building of a Sugar Shack - which would have an evaporator pan (entry level 24" x 36" ) to be used for demonstration purposes. This would be wood fired. Randolph School is asked to confirm if any grading requirements would be required for placement of the structure. The Board discussed several possibilities, and the implications re: lot lines, lot consolidation etc. for the Sugar Shack placement. More to come.....
