Unshattered coming to Wappingers

Unshattered - a non-for-profit that will soon be celebrating their 7th anniversary - which employees women in recovery to make hand bags of all types using recycled materials - will be moving from Hopewell Junction to 1090 Route 376 in Wappingers. The leader spoke to the Town Planning board meeting on March 20, presenting their conceptual plan for an interim site/sign plan to be put in place while they prepare a more permanent site plan.

Other business included approving tree felling at Myers Corners Solar Farm Lightstar. The Town Attorney will prepare a standard performant agreement and a performance bond for $30,000 will be posted.

Plans to revamp 33 Middlebush road were discussed - to remodel into a Contractor Storage Area. A discussion about the changes to set-backs etc which may be required if the building is torn down and rebuilt vs. remodeled was held.

Tassone Court on Route 9 is amending their site plan and the board discussed the details.

A new proposal for U-Haul Storage on Stage Door Road was met with broad nods of approval from the board - in stark contrast with the last plan presented to the board.

Myers Run Subdivision was granted an extension, as they are waiting Health Department and DPW approvals.
